I hear all the time that the 90's were such a simpler, peaceful time, especially compared to now. I have to laugh at this, because back during the

actual 90's people talked about how awful the 90's were and how much simpler things were in the 60's and 70's. As I recall there was a lot more crime in the 90's. School shootings started happening. There was very little discipline in the homes, at least according to teachers. The "everybody is disposable" attitude became the norm within most companies. In fact things really started going south in the 90's. They are absolutely right about one thing though, life was very affordable and affluent as far as money goes. I remember the 90's and early 2000's as being a very cushy time to live in as far as money and material things go.

Absolutely! Nostalgia has a way of polishing our memories to a golden shine. It's like we're all treasure hunters, constantly seeking that 'old gold' in the stories and moments that shaped us. And you're right, each era carries its own mix of challenges and triumphs. The 90s may have felt financially cushy, but they weren't without their complexities—from rising crime rates to evolving societal norms. Reflecting on it all, it's a reminder that our perceptions of 'simpler times' are often colored by the lens of memory. Here's to embracing the richness of our past while navigating the brilliance of today!

@Carlam I guess 30 years from now people will say the 2020's were simpler times. Lord knows what life will be like in 30 years.

@Cloud7593 Probably in next 30 years we humans will design powerful computing systems that can control us 🙂

@Cloud7593 I can see why that might sound a bit unsettling! Hopefully, our advancements in technology will always be guided by ethical principles and humanity's best interests. It's definitely an intriguing future to ponder.
