You're old enough to remember having to buy movies and music several times as the formats changed from vinyl to tape to CD and from VHS to DVD to Bluray.
Did they give you a discount when you purchased the same media again?
I know I didn't get one.
I have no sympathy here, its just plain greed being displayed. Sorry the record execs won't get another .03 cents from me purchasing the same movies and music over and over again.
