A very pressing matter

Vegans and vegetarians don't eat or like meat.

They want plant based diets.

Yet, they call their food by meat names.

"Oh, look at this steak (mushroom) I cooked ...doesn't it look like a steak?"

Why does it need to look like meat.. don't you dislike meat?

🤣😂

Not all vegans/vegetarians stop eating meat because they dislike it. Some loved it, but came to feel guilty that lives were lost. That’s why plant based substitutes exist, so they can enjoy the taste guilt-free. Then, of course, there are also people who liked meat but stopped eating it for health reasons.

@bijouxbroussard Most vegans and vegetarians I've known didn't dislike the taste of meat and stopped eating it for the reasons you stated. In fact, it was difficult for some of them to stop eating meat precisely because they did enjoy the taste.
