I am in the dark place

Right now.

I am going to start calling it the Upsidedown....because that is a seriously appropriate analogy of the darkness of the world around us and the darkness of depression and anxiety.

Right is left, left is down, up is right, down is left.

I have had some equally dark thoughts.

I won't write them or say them outloud. ...because that might lend some extra weight to them...but it isn't a normal thing for me to have these thoughts.

I am not sure how to bring myself back from this.

@ronisme1 I hate to be a jerk...I really just want more people to understand how damaging this advice is.....this advice is awful. If positive thinking fixed depression there wouldn't be depressed people.

If positive thinking has helped you change your life, you weren't depressed. Not clinically.

When people suggest that depressed people "just think positively about happy things" they show their complete misundersrsnding of what clinical depression is. They lose sight of the fact that a depressed person wonders wtf is wrong with them if they cant just think happy thoughts and make everything better...like the world thinks is possible.

Please, try harder to understand this.

@ronisme1 Thank you, hope I didn't scare you away. I don't mean to be harsh.
