Im really, really tired of the "well people on 'your side' do X!"

It's a meaningless argument. Because it applies to everything. No matter what position you take and what you believe there will be an eternal struggle against those that would use it for bad purposes.

It is a caution but not a criticism. Stop doing it and find actual criticisms for things.

And yes...this statement also applies to everyone.
