I have just lost a battle

Here we are, sitting on separate sofas, squabbling over which one of us gets up, goes over to the cupboard and gets the bottle out. He's using all my excuses. He's got his feet up. I haven't got a little table in front of me. He's leaning back and I'm not.
We haven't even got a cat that can't be disturbed, now.
So it's had to be me who got the bottle out and poured the drinks.
