Yeah, I have something I need to get off my chest.

This site was a whole lot better when I joined 2 years ago in July 2018. Unfortunately though, things have changed and not for the better. Lots of the good members have left, and many of the good ones still here have turned into nothing more than political trolls. Not all, but many. If you all want to keep posting dumb crap just to stir the pot and not have an actual adult discussion, then that is fine. I'm not a mod, an admin, or anyone's mom on here. My life was no different before I joined SW, and I doubt that my life would be any different without it.

I think for those of us here since the beginning, the current dynamics just flat wear us out. We know how good it can be but weeding out the whackadoos is exhausting.

I find myself taking more and more SW breaks but still try to peek in for friends and to share encouragement...it’s the best I can do right now.

@latinbutterfly Many of us have done that. Nothing wrong with unplugging for a while. Just remember you have friends here and will be missed while you’re away.

I stick to the circle/friends feed but it is getting dry.

You’re absolutely correct; this place has changed a lot since it’s inception. I wish there were another site that functioned similarly, yet void of the BS.

the long-form writing has been gone for some time from here. I'm not sure if it's become the sorta thing that just doesn't happen; if it's now the sorta thing done all in PMs, but the connection doesn't really seem to be a thing here anymore. and I'd love to say that I could be part of the fix, but the times they have a changed and I just don't have it in me to try to steer towards the shore, I suppose.
