I Have Something to Say

A child who is allowed to be disrespectful to their parents will not have true respect for anyone.
hami1091 · 41-45, F
To deserve respect one must first respect. A child not respected by their parents don't learn respect. They learn fear and have poor self esteem.

As someone in the school system, I second this. It's a vicious cycle that I see every day.
NeuroticByNature · 41-45, F
True. They learned their behavior somewhere too.

Whoop his ass.. There's nothing wrong with whooping ass..

@ASLAN If you don't do it when they're children, someone will sure as hell do it when they're an adult.

i agree for the most part, but what if the parents are really abusive ??
FORMERLYbatovn · 56-60, M
Too true, and its becoming more and more common anymore. Sad
[c=#359E00]is respect to parents still relevant?[/c]

But I have to blame the parents as well for a lack of Understanding. Even I have struggles from my little brother I usually take care of.

I grew up in a time when any adult any where could (and would) whip your ass if you back talked or acted up.

I seem to have survived
There is truth in that, but as someone else pointed out, not all parents are worthy of respect.
