I Have Something to Say

My emotions are feeling quite pummeled this afternoon. We have assholes for neighbours. People who think it's great fun to ride up and down our peaceful street with dirt bikes destroying the quiet. We've tried fighting their assholic behaviour but we get zero help or understanding from any quarter where we live. I honestly do not know what else to do. How do you make someone understand that their behaviour is not only inconsiderate but criminal when not even the cops or the council will help you?😶

@Whitenight - to be blunt it is people like you who turn a blind eye to social ills in the neighbourhood that allow neighbourhoods to become shit holes. It's the little stuff that accumulates and eventually becomes big stuff. So I turn a blind eye to this, then I guess I must turn a blind eye to the drug den and the nearby squat/shooting gallery because they are also just enjoying their own thing. And then I guess I must turn a blind eye to the terrorist wannabe who's planning a nice little bombing or borrowing the truck from work to play jihad skittles. And what about my "thing?" What if I want to play opera at top volume at 3am because its the only time I can enjoy it? Or maybe I can let my dog pack run free on the street so they can shit on the neighbours' lawn and then I don't have to clean up after them - bugger the kids walking to their friends or the bicyclists enjoying an afternoon ride, I mean they can just run or pedal faster can't they?
We have by-laws for a reason. They enable us to live with each other with a modicum of civility.

Then the thing left to do is change your attitude. Are you able to be happy for that they are happy, doing what they enjoy? Noone appreciate someone who complains over people enjoying their own thing, that might be the reason why the other neighbours doesnt support you.

I suggest trying full blast opera at 3am first.

There's strength in numbers and if they're disturbing YOU they're probably disturbing other people too.

@LucyFuhr - I've tried believe me I've tried. We've reported to the cops, highlighted the issue in the press, I've even practiced a little witchcraft and placed several hexes. Right now I'm down to buying a gun and shooting at the bastards.

Telling me to be nice to assholes is tantamount to giving them permission to continue harassing me. I didn't realise I needed your fucking permission to exist. I didn't realise I needed your permission to tell someone who doesn't know me from Adam but still had the gumption to reference my orifices where to get off. If you are so hung up on my maturity why the fuck are you still commenting on my posts to OTHER people? A grown-up would have realised that the issue is not their fight and moved on.
