As a lad we called it Armistice Day only later did it become Remembrance Day. I was the town trumpet player for a number of years and always played The Last Post for the ceremony. One year the trumpet just worked perfectly. It was like I was standing beside myself listening to the music and thinking this really sounds good. After a bit an old gentleman who was a WWI vet came over to me and said 'That is the best I have heard it played'. I was deeply honoured.
