The more I work at the hospital

The more I dont want to work there as a nurse. I don't know what it is. The culture, the people or just the work itself. I know nursing isn't sunshine and rainbows. It's hard, back breaking work. But the past month has been awful as a nursing assistant. I'm just feeling kind of low. My mom says it'll get better but it doesn't seem like it will

I get this more than I'd like to admit. Sometimes the hardest part is it's everything around it. A bad environment can make you question a career you might otherwise love, and I am in one.

I'm not going to tell you it'll magically get better, but I will say that how you feel right now isn't uncommon, and it doesn't automatically mean nursing isn't for you. Be kind to yourself. This job can take a lot out of you. ❤

I agree, the best place to work as a nurse is a surgical center, M-F normal operating ours and great pay!
I don't know what to say except I respect the hell out of healthcare workers. Thank you for your service.
