Let's say you have 4k in savings... [I Ramble]

And you're going to use it to move away to another country and stay with someone while you get your life together.

But a relative knows you have that amount and they want to borrow it to buy their own stuff/pay bills.

Are you obligated to give it to them? Or is it okay to say, "No, that's my savings to move with."

* This is a serious question btw... 馃槬

They need to find a way to pay their own way. You have saved for something very specific

@JupiterDreams all I will say is, if you ate staying with these people and not contributing to living costs then I can understand them wanting you to give them money. You are not obligated, they should not expect anything from you. I am just saying this because I am not aware of the circumstances and am not sure of the full story

@InOtterWords I understand that :) I pay the phone bill every month, I buy the groceries and cook, I clean the house, I buy new stuff/necessities

@JupiterDreams and if the terms were clear they should not change.

It is really awkward when it comes to friends/family and money.

Just remind yourself of the goodvtjingscthey are doing when they start to overstep
