My poetry lacks growth.however,I can imagine opening that smile if it's for me.

I sometimes wonder whether its because my mind is full with "wisdom" I have accumulated over the years and its leaking out. Or Maybe its just that having lived through and learned a lot I want to stop others having to go through the same train wrecks in life.

When my dad tells a story it's like watching a cyclic film (where it finishes and just comes back on again, I don't know if the cinema does these anymore).

I've just told my partner a story about my parents which had us both roaring with laughter! I'm not going to put it here just yet as it's long but the jist of the story was, they were going to wallpaper a room but my dad wouldn't buy a ladder...

When we ramble it's sometimes just to refresh our memory :)
Aging brings a bit of fogging of the brain, making it harder and harder to see into the deeper crevices where memories were stored years, decades ago.
So excuse me if I ramble a bit. If you have heard this before, just pour yourself a cup of coffee and rest for a bit, and use the time to explore your own almost forgotten memories.

Thoughts are what we do with our unused thoughts and words that were left trapped and unused, for myself, the words carried through, a story As well as a breath and probably swept in a corner, watch. For it, you may have been given a chance, the one that was lost in the tears as they were swept away.may be a good 0men, know there is no guarantee.

Seniors are often lonely. Not used to company.

Yea ... I attended a funeral a few years back of the husband of one of my wife's friends He was about 85 or so and except for us and the now widow and a few family members there was just the military rifle team and honor guard. The honor guard made up half of the graveside crowd.
By 85, 60%+ of his old friends and relatives had probably passed away, and many of those still alive were challenged to just stay alive. He'd left his old workplace 20 years earlier and long since been forgotten.
Military service means that you will still be remembered and honored 50+ years later. And thanked for your service.

I don't mind if my statement runs Rampant. As long as it's not pointed out too often.
OldSchool · 61-69, M
@Carla1951 There was nothing at all wrong with your statement. I did not even think that it ran rampant. I never meant to sound critical in any way. Again, sorry if I gave any impression other than intended.
As for rambling, my wife is 22 years younger than I, and she has admitted that she was rambling. Perhaps that is the result of living with me! Lol
