Dick Valentine sounds like a cool stage name, so it sucks if people are bugging you over it or get offended over it enough that you want to change it.
Clearly none of these people bothering you ever had the experience of getting over the dick part. lol. it used to be a really common name. I once had a kindly if relatively unhelpful elderly man as a supervisor who insisted everyone call him dick instead of richard. i had a fun time adding his title on and calling him dr. dick all the time. it really doesn't get better then that!
