I Have a Question

what do i do about fireworks? its not the 4th yet but some people think it is, i normally try to ignore them but tonight they werent just throwing it they were also throwing it really close to my building too, thats when i got fed up and called the police and told them about it, i didnt call 911 cause i dont want to bother them but i wanted them to look into it. im also in school so i need my sleep. i hate doing that but i couldnt have them throw it so close. i was afraid theyd start a fire. any suggestions?

I could be wrong, but wouldn't that be more a job for the fire department than for the police? It is fairly easy to get the fire department to show up on someone's property within the hour in response to a non-regulation bonfire in the backyard, I would assume the same would go for this.
