I Have a Question

NSFW

Do you think attitudes to sex are intrinsically different in straight men and women, because in essence men are physically entering another person, whereas women are allowing another person to enter their body?

My feeling is that despite it being consensual, it must be so much more difficult to let your guard down and allow someone literally inside you as a woman. As a (pretty crap) metaphor, you would be comfortable poking someone in the ear, but maybe not so relaxed if someones finger was in yours.

Spoiler alert. I know the answers to this question are going to go horribly, controversially wrong but I'd prefer it if they didn't...

@GlitzandGlamber thanks for your thoughts. It would be interesting to get views from people who have given and received penetrative sex because there's no way (yet) for either of us to experience it from the other person's point of view. But I know from my point of view I've always been very relaxed about the whole thing and it wasn't until I was older that I really thought about what a different experience it must be for the opposite sex.
