I Have a Question

Do you think it's true that most people want to use you or take advantage of you in stead of support you or do the right thing? It does seem like a lot of people simply want to get what they can from the people around them and don't care that much about how their treatment affects them. Unfortunately it is human nature to only be concerned about how everything affects yourself. I just wondered what other people's experiences were.

I don't think you can compare how a business treats people as how people treat people. As a VP for a business I've learned a lot from when I started with the company in a much lower position. Sometimes absolutely it is chasing the almighty dollar at the employees expense. And let's not start on the CEO salaries and golden parachutes and what not. There is massive disparity in what employees are paid and executives are.

This all said there are also other considerations for businesses, especially smaller ones like I belong to. sometimes there will be choices that will negatively impact a few people but will save a lot of other jobs.

This all said, don't compare businesses to how people treat people, just not a good comparison.
