Why are people so eager to tell everyone about themselves and to give their opinion? Do you think there is something to gain by telling everyone everything about you?
Gain... Relief Finally can one express themselves, or write about the things (good and bad) that they've been through and find that they're not alone, someone somewhere has been through a similar situation and they may be able to empathize or advise a person. This world lacks empathy and sometimes we can't seek out to vent or express these low moments in our lives with those who surround us in person because it will turn into something that defines us. When in reality we are much more than just one circumstance or event in our lives.

Because we hope that at least one person would be able to understand how we feel.
It's just a way to reach out, to feel less alone.
Assuming you're talking about posts of course.
When people do that in comments on posts, I'm just like ummmm I've got nothing to add.
Two thingd. They are searching forw acceptance or vindication.
Or they are lonely and our looking for someone, anyone, to connect with-as gain or shallow as they talk may be. To thrm-it is the human aspect they are searching for.
If you don't believe "that shit" then this isn't the right place for you, becuase you will see hundreds of posts of people expressing themselves and their issues all over the place
You could gain insight, you could understand someone else, have someone else understand you, you could make new friends. I think, even just by speaking about things that matter to you, you can feel better than you did before. I think there are plenty of reasons.
If someone puts in the effort to answer a question you ask, the least you can do is reply in equal terms, where's your reasoning if you don't believe mine or hers?
