I'm pretty divided on this issue so I don't usually discuss it. I'll just say that if it is real then it's not a serious threat and the world's climate will eventually even itself out again. Last century, people were worrying about the Earth getting too cold but all became better in the end and we survived. This is pretty much the same scenario and people are blowing it out of proportion as always. Assuming climate change is real, of course.
Haven't we been experiencing global warming ever since the Ice Age?

Unfortunately, that's true. But people get hung up on details that seem not to matter, like why or how it's happening. Science, statistics and objective data aside, let's assume it isn't caused by man. So what? There have been five mass extinctions on this earth. Periods during which the vast, vast majority of dominant and non-dominant species alike were exterminated. This is our future. It will happen, unless of course a virus hits first. I'd stop arguing about what and why and figure out how to mitigate it.
Incidentally, if we accept that it IS being accelerated by man, it's good news. It means we can affect it.
Climate change isn't what polarizes the populace. Those with a vested financial interest in fossil fuels spreading bullshit to people who need enemies to exist is what causes the polarization. Climate change has been settled.
