@TheSirfurryanimalWales The word "positive" rarely appears in standard traditional English translations like the KJV or ESV, as modern words like "positive" are typically seen differently in older Hebrew and Greek translations.
However, if you might look for classic, uplifting verses that carry a positive and hopeful message, rather than the literal word itself, you might consider these:
Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
Romans 12:12 - "Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."
Proverbs 17:22 - "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
@lissah Perfect! I don't believe that's out of coincidence. The Holy Spirit knows what is needed in a person's life. He can choose any which way He pleases, to bring His message to us.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.
That’s the one God popped into my mind, and it’s PERFECT for a "positive" word puzzle. ♥
Why it fits: "Positive" isn’t actually in the Bible word-for-word. But power, love, and a sound mind is about as positive as it gets. It’s the opposite of fear. It’s God saying: "I give you strength, love, and clarity."
Psalm 63:1 - "You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water."
@Carysoflife Creative. Here's how it is used in Scripture.
About God the Creator: 1. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2. Isaiah 40:28 The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. 3. Psalm 104:24 O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. 4. Colossians 1:16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible.
About us being made creatively: 5. Psalm 139:14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. 6. Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand. 7. Isaiah 43:7 Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory.
About new creation / God making something new: 8. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 9. Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
So no "creative" exactly, but God is absolutely the Creator and He made us creatively, on purpose, for His glory.
Praying: Lord, thank You that You are the Creator and that You made this lady fearfully and wonderfully. Keep showing her the new things You are doing ❤🙏

@HikingMan Stalking?? You? Nah. We just keep running into each other. If I were to choose someone to stalk it would be AdmiralPrune. There's someone I very much dislike and have a serious bone to pick.
John 10:10 states: "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
About being mindful of God: 1. Psalm 8:4 What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him. 2. Deuteronomy 8:2 And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord your God has led you. 3. Lamentations 3:20 My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me.
About having a mindful heart and mind: 4. Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. 5. Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 6. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
So mindful is really about where we all should better set our thoughts. On Him, not on this troubled world.
@PiecingBabyFaceTogether Thank you! Mindful is such an important word, to be mindful. I think more people need to be mindful. Let's take a look at what the Bible says about being mindful: 😃
MINDFUL: The Bible contains many verses about renewing the mind, being present, staying alert, and meditating on God's truth.
Renewing and Focusing the Mind • Romans 12:2: Emphasizes transformation through the renewal of the mind to discern God's will. • Colossians 3:2: Advises setting thoughts on heavenly things rather than earthly ones. • Philippians 4:8: Encourages dwelling on whatever is true, noble, pure, and praiseworthy. (One of my favorites) Because if you don't have your head together, then life is SO much harder. A positive attitude means everything.
Present-Moment Trust & Letting Go of Worry • Matthew 6:34: Advises against worrying about tomorrow, noting each day has enough trouble of its own. • Philippians 4:6-7: Encourages replacing anxiety with prayer and thanksgiving to experience God's peace.
Alertness, Sobriety, and Watchfulness • 1 Peter 5:8: Calls for being sober-minded and watchful against spiritual adversaries. • Colossians 4:2: Urges devotion to prayer with a watchful and thankful attitude. • 1 Peter 1:13: Speaks of preparing the mind for action and placing hope fully on grace.
Stillness and Meditation on God • Psalm 46:10: Commands believers to be still and acknowledge God. • Psalm 1:2: Describes finding delight in meditating on God's law day and night. • Psalm 19:14: Expresses a desire for words and heart meditations to be pleasing to God.
@GodsJoyfulGrace You just reminded me of a hymn we used to sing in Sunday school.
Your Word is like a lamp to my feet! It guides me through the problems that I meet. It teaches me to pray, it tells me what to say, your word is like a lamp to my feet
Your Word, much greater than gold Lord, It never grows old Lord, to me. Your Word, far sweeter than honey, more precious than money, to me...
I sang it in a talent show when I was about ten. ❤
@OutoftheGloom oh sister, this is no coincidence. Before you even told me, the Lord led me to put up a post about that verse and I did. Wow! That's God. ❤🫂
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD, your God, is in the midst of you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing.
About God bringing calm: 1. Mark 4:39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, Quiet Be still. Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. 2. Psalm 107:29 He stilled the storm to a whisper, the waves of the sea were hushed. 3. Psalm 4:8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
About a calm heart and spirit: 4. Proverbs 14:30 A calm heart gives life to the body. 5. Proverbs 17:27 A man of understanding remains calm. 6. Philippians 4:6 and 7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
About resting in calm: 7. Psalm 23:2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters. 8. Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
So you’ve got calm, still, quiet, peace, and rest, all pointing back to Jesus. Did you know you are precious to Him? He loves you beyond words.
