Yes, I won the blue ribbon first prize at two science fairs in Jr. High, and then I won an art contest in which the prize was senior high school admission to a summer class at Mass Art...
AND as an adult I went to a trade show for Cotter and Company in Manchester, NH, and I won a small chest style FREEZER! As we came in the door each manager was given a key to unlock a prize, so I gave my key to my son...and he hung out near the prizes WITH my key...and he was HUGELY excited when my key WON!!! He felt like HE was the winner!
