Have you called police to your home? Why?

Years ago, I called the police around 2am because I heard something that sounded like someone trying to open the front door. I was really scared. The police came and checked around the house and then he stayed outside to make sure we were safe. Nothing happened after that and I felt secure.

Not to our house, but our neighbor teenager came over one night to use our phone to call the police because he thought his father was going to hurt his mother. So the police came to our house to meet the kid. Everything turned out okay, and they moved soon after that.
