Is there something about you that people assume because of your appearance or demeanour? A trait or preference you have that people don't expect?

Some that don't know me get nervous about my size. Yes, I am a big, muscular old guy that looks like 5 miles of bad road. Yet small children and dogs seem drawn to me, calm around me. Not complaining, I kinda get it, just sometimes I wonder.
