As a democracy shouldnt we vote to go to war?

Its rare that a politician has ever seen a battlefield while the people are the ones holding the line and dying for the orders the politician gave regardless if they want to be there or not.

@Penny well not really because voting on the fact we should go to war doesnt show when or how we approach it. I think it would just prevent war without good reason. And those who fight the battles actually have a say in how they conduct themselves.
