All vodka tastes the same. Same for gin.

@rinkydinkydoink I can think of at least 10 gins (2 from the same distillery) I could give you a blind tasting on and enlighten you on how this is objectively, factually incorrect (for example, three different gins whose signature flavors are rose, lavender and cardamom respectively taste and smell distinctly different)
moreover, just doing the same thing with potato-based versus rye-based vodka would have the same result

@rinkydinkydoink Partially agree. All good vodka taste the same( clean and flavorless. As it should be) and all crappy cheap vodka taste the same( dirty, gassy, harsh, and oily.)
Absolute, kettle one sky, hrey goose all taste the same but bartons, mr Boston etc. Taste the same as each other but not like the previous others.

@MethDozer tell me you haven't tasted (and smelled) potato vodka using seven varieties of potatoes and distilled only one time in a copper still without telling me you haven't tasted (and smelled) potato vodka using seven varieties of potatoes and distilled only one time in a copper still

@MethDozer trust me, I've taste enough to know the difference between mixing vodka and sipping vodka (never mind soju and shochu)
