Have you ever given something away you regretted?

In Hyde Park or Kensington Gardens there are thousands of wild yellow and green parakeets.
There is a rumour that legendary rocker Jimi Hendrix, when living in a flat in Mayfair in the 60s, released two rose-ringed parakeets, the very breed that now roam wild in the park. These birds are non-migratory, so it is believed the London ones originated from Hendrix's pets. If you bring an apple with you, the parakeets will literally eat out of your hand.

The David Attemborough programme on London said there are around 30,000 wild parrots/parakeets in the city. I have seen them roosting in trees around an industrial park in south London. It's weird at first, but a very welcome addition to the local wildlife.

At a concert, years ago, I gave away the drumsticks I caught to a young girl, like 8 years old at the most.
I know that sounds selfish as fuck but damn I wish I had those T_T I hope she's a drumming prodigy

As for the birds: isn't 2 individuals too little to establish a population?
