What do you dislike?

Mine is when you explain something to someone and they say, "so what you're saying is -"

I often end up trying to correct something I didn't even say. I have a work colleague who is good at this. 🐄
Don't get me wrong, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but this phrase is sometimes used to slightly twist your argument and misrepresents your point. It's like a conversational speed bump that can feel patronising because they seem to be watering down what you say.

I also dislike pineapple.

Sincerely checking to make sure they understand is one thing .. and I'd rather see that than them be wrong.

Twisting it around to fit their different agenda is something else altogether ..
