Is there a food you just cannot eat either because of health or an intense dislike of it?
As kids, most start out drinking cordials, fruit juices and fizzy drinks for a treat. I know this isn't all kids, but I think it is probably a big percentage of us as youngsters. Most of us are brought up with a strong neutral pathway to sweeter tasting substances, and we don't tend to crave harsh and bitter tastes. But as we get on a bit our taste changes.
My mother told me about how her gran used to give her a wee drop of Guinness as a baby to soothe her. I remember trying a little sip myself as a kid and it felt like I had stuck my tongue on a battery (another kid got me to do this at eleven 🙄) so beer has never been a favourite of mine. Or: Sushi, black pudding, liver or any kind of offal, coleslaw.

I love Guinness and a full English is never complete without black pudding. I don't like hash browns, I find them sickly and can't eat poached eggs if they have any trace of runny white.
