What do you like on your french toast?

Growing up it was butter and powdered sugar sifted over top.
Now i like either apricot preserves or just maple syrup

One place puts on confectioners sugar and butter, and that is enough.

Another place adds nothing, so I pour a little syrup. Yet only a little, since I have diabetes.
