What do you like on your french toast?

Growing up it was butter and powdered sugar sifted over top.
Now i like either apricot preserves or just maple syrup

I like plain old buttered syrup, I also put vanilla in my batter so it’s nice and sweet.

@FreeorLonely ohh duh, you said batter. I put vanilla in that too. I read ' butter' that first time. Was thinking..ok I've never done that. Put honey in butter though

Y'all should try also adding a little orange and rum extract. Little bit of each, otherwise one will overwhelm other.
