What is something you saw in someone’s house that made you never go back?

They didn’t wash their dishes. I’m dead serious. They didn’t wash dishes in that house. They just wiped them down with a paper towel and put them in the cabinet. I saw that with my own eyes. All their dishes were sticky, smelled funny, and had a weird color. Their cabinets were full of ants attracted to the dirty dishes.

Not only did I never go back there, but I never again took another bite out of any meals that came out of that house.

When my daughter was little, she was invited to a birthday party by a class mate. I only knew mum from the school gate, but she was pleasent enough.
We turned up to the party. There was a mini bouncy castle in the living room and the kids were having a great time. I sat on the sofa. Cat hair everywhere and the carpet was covered, and there was cat poo around the room. I went into the kitchen...'come get some food'. Lovely friendly people, spread looked great, but yes......cat hairs on the food.
My girl askedto go to the loo before we left. I couldn't believe my eyes. The bath was full of clothes in water and on top were strewn dozens and dozens of crushed up beer cans and bizarely an coffee table on top of those with half dozen overflowing ash trays!!!!

We didnt get invited back coz the family moved on before the child's next bday....but i'd never have set foot in there again!
