I would phrase it differently. If they are funny in a way I find attractive, looks matter a whole lot less. Looks don’t affect me much. I married handsome once. It was a mistake. I prefer witty and funny.

I told this story before on SW - - - when my sister and her husband went to see the hit movie The Graduate back in the day, the moment Hoffman appeared on-screen they both turned to one another and blurted out "Johnny!"
