What’s the scariest ( non violent) sound you’ve heard that’s woken you up in the middle of the night?

Raccoons outside my window scratching at things.
also when group of coyotes get together by my pond

Ffs, sounds like screams

What sounded like either a wounded animal, or someone thought the sound of Cats or another animal having sex... it was freaking creepy.

The worst sounds that I actually know what they were....

A morning dove moaning by the window near my head at first early in the morning...

And in the middle of the next... a strong storm (former hurricane now weakened) was going through, and I woke up to what I thought was someone knocking on my window...

Turned out the knocking was a tree split in half, and one of the branches was now knocking on my window.
