Removing junk food from SNAP isn’t cruel, it’s remaining true to the program’s original purpose. Thoughts?

I don't not think it's cruel.
People think it's cheaper to eat crap, but it isn't always.
I do think it takes skill to cook, though.
For example buying dried beans and rice is pretty cheap.
And if we're solely talking junk food: I would think that would only include sweets, soda, and chips and stuff like that.
Those are not necessary food groups and they can make you ill if you eat too many.
I'm sure they will still be able to buy cake mixes, cookie mixes ,muffin mixes ,and all that kind of thing and frozen foods... It looks like it's only prepared sugary foods that will be banned.
They have never allowed sugary foods on the WIC program for example.
