Removing junk food from SNAP isn’t cruel, it’s remaining true to the program’s original purpose. Thoughts?

$25 dollars for the ingredients to make cookies or a box for $4.00.

Oh, and the people who are telling others what junk food is are the ones saying a baby grows in a placenta and the measles are not a big deal.

@FlowersInHerHair Doesn’t cost that much money to bake. I bake a lot of things. Learned to cook from scratch during some very lean times and still do.
@cherokeepatti A family of four or five with one parent disabled and the other working two jobs (one to just pay for daycare)? I suppose one of them could bake cookies somewhere in between jobs and spending what time they can with their children and each other.

Not every family is fortunate.

@FlowersInHerHair Disabled are supposed to be high on the list to receive them.
@cherokeepatti They may receive them but how much does that actually feed a family of four or five when we all want them to buy fresh fruits, vegetable, plus dairy, then everything to prepare the meals?

There is no solution to the problem; however, we should never make assumptions or judgement about other peoples’ circumstances.
