If I asked someone for a favour while my car is being driven by the other person..

And I get a fine from the driver disobeying a no stopping sign, who is supposed to pay?

Me because I asked for a favour or the driver or both of us?

The Driver
But the registered owner gets the bill and has to sort it out.
You can report it and you should or you get the demerit points....the Driver should accept the responsibility and if it's a friend they bloody well ought to.

@KiwiBird these are my thoughts too. I got the bill today and sent it to him so he could pay. Thankfully no demerit points on this one.

The driver is responsible for there own actions imo.

If i was the driver i'd take responsibility for it.

The driver must pay. It was not YOU who disobeyed the no-stopping sign.

However, he WAS doing you a favor at the time. Be prepared. He will most likely refuse to do you any favors in future.
It's the driver's responsibility to notice the no stop sign and either tell you he can't stop there or that you may get a fine and ask you if you're willing to take that risk before complying.

Is this a riddle?
GunFinger · F
@BobbyMoeven no, it's a real question.😂

They should, but because it’s your car you're responsible for it
YoMomma ·
@YoMomma wait, you're the one who asked them to stop in a no stoping zone? Completely your fault then eh? 😏
GunFinger · F
@YoMomma nope.😊

@GunFinger ok 😅

I would say YOU, 3 - 5 years Lockyer Valley Correctional Centre for allowing some to drive your car
