Does your State not offer free healthcare for children in need? My State offers free healthcare plans and grocery money for those in need.

@WasEP I did have free healthcare for my son, but it's slowly getting taken away. And by the sound of it, he wants to end it. We both have chronic illness and Medicaid has saved us from being in a whole heap of trouble. I don't get food stamps because I had them once and they made me pay it all back because my mom died and left me a house which I couldn't even live in. I don't really trust the system to begin with. They give, they take when they think you have two nickels to rub together. So I don't want to ask much. I just want healthcare so we can survive.

It's a very difficult time right now. I know several that are struggling and to make decisions whether to eat or buy medications. Even scarier if you have a child. I am fine financially but even I worry about the cost of medications and food. One inhaler is $200! It used to be $35! A box of Cheerios is $7! Meat $15/lb. Gas $4.20/gal. I pray that things improve soon for everyone. It's clear that the promises made by MAGA were all false.

It is a terrible situation. I am sorry that you and so many others have to endure the pain of being unable to provide for the needs of your family. We have to do better.

@exexec I work as many hours as I can. I don't have credit cards or anything frivolous. I have a small mortgage, car is paid off, I'm in better shape than a lot of people. So I don't know how many others are making it at all... It's very scary.

@ScreamingFox Yes, it is scary. I do some volunteer work and see people who are working full-time jobs and can't afford the basics of life.

They honestly do not care about anyone except the rich. They said on national television that homeless people should just be killed.

Lack of compassion unites them...
It united the Nazis in WWII as well, according to a psychiatrist at the Nuremberg Trials.
Not a promising time.
