I am a writer. The most difficult task I encounter is setting aside a project to continue later. The urge to push towards completion can be overwhelming, even when knowing that a break is likely to refocus my thoughts and potentially provide improved clarity.

I'm that way with repairs or building stuff. I can't stop till I'm done. Sometimes I can't sleep till I'm done with a project

@HumanEarth When I start writing lyrics to a song, I can have it nearly complete and then decide to change one lyric...which leads to changing another to better the transition... and so on & on. It can be maddening but that's been something I have consistently done. I fear stopping and becoming unable to reconnect with the same feelings that inspired me to begin the song initially

Right, like designing blueprints or when I make something off the cuff. I end up scrapping the whole idea and starting from scratch again

@HumanEarth trying to be a perfectionist....I guess we both bear that cross
