Do you have habits or way of doing things that people think is odd?
This is how I enjoy reading, always have since childhood. My ex thought it was super weird. But, it's extremely comfortable. Lying back. Feet on my headboard.
I like to lie on my back on the floor and use my legs to scoot around when I’m upset. I like to shower in the dark. I sit naked in the dark when I’m overstimulated. And about a million more if we include ocd particulars.
Yes. Being OCD means having habits and sticking to them. One weird one ( I was told) is eating my veggies first and the main course second. And I go clockwise if something else is on the plate. Weird. 🤷🏻♂
@JackDaniels Interesting. All of my habits are repetitive in nature. Checking lights, if the door is locked, if lights are off, etc. frustrated the hell out of me. I'm also hyper aware of my surroundings noticing changes quickly. A neuro put me on a med and all of it went away except the awareness and I was happy.
@Bexsy Yup. I did that like 20 times. And the stove.And the lights. And the garage door.... exhausting. They kept saying I was depressed. Gave me meds. Nothing worked until a real Dr diagnosed me. Couldn't be happier. I was 50!
Being barefoot around my house. Some of my friends think it's weird but I'm like wtf I wear shoes/boots for a good part of the day. Then I run/workout for another 1 or 2 hours. I wanna relax lol
@ninalanyon everyone has oddities about them. I just got yelled at when my boyfriend found an empty wine bottle under the sink where we keep potatoes and onions.
@ninalanyon hardly, but if i put a couple of bottles in the fridge, he takes one to the cellar. When the bottle has gone, I either buy or ask for more, and it annoys him. So i do have a sneaky bottle on the go.
