Many reasons. Survival and safety being one. In unsafe environments (the hood, abusive homes, warzones), adopting aggression, confidence, and toughness is protective.

Vulnerability can be exploited, so women learn to mirror the behaviors that command fear or respect.

If you're in the hood, women have to be as violent as men for survival. You know how many young women end up dead in the alley?

I saw something on cctv once where a male approached a female at a bus stop. He tried to kidnap her in broad daylight, she gets out her gun while he was grabbing her. You could tell the guy def. had his life flashed before his eyes. If she wasn't aggressive, how do you think that would have ended?

Another one is power dynamics. In societies dominated by male power structures (machismo cultures or patriarchal systems generally), traditionally “feminine” traits like gentleness or submission are undervalued, while “masculine” traits are rewarded.

Women adopt them to gain respect, authority, or basic autonomy.

Another reason, economic survival. In many jobs or industries, women have to act in ways coded as “masculine” (decisiveness, directness, assertiveness) to succeed or even be heard.

Another reason are cultural shifts. Modern feminism and gender theory have challenged rigid gender roles. Many women no longer see femininity and masculinity as binaries but as tools or traits anyone can use.

Gender is fluid, these traits aren’t owned by one gender.

Another reason may be psychological adaptation. If a woman grew up in environments with male siblings, absent nurturing adults, or abusive situations, adopting “male” behaviors can become an internalized survival strategy.

Also, social learning and trauma. Many women experience sexual harassment or assault early in life, leading them to toughen their demeanor to protect themselves.

It's a multi issue with no one cause but at the root of it are those issues

The difference is between that of inferior and Superior. While inferior is feminine, superior is masculine. Inferior will always dislike the behaviour of superior, but will always want to be superior so they can treat other inferiors the same way.
@in10RjFox you must be fun at parties.

@in10RjFox and sometimes my repartees upset the host or the ones trying to dominate..
I think you mistake “trying to be men” by adopting. behavior that appears to be the secret of success to an actual desire to be men.

The majority of people, men and women, do what it takes to survive and, possibly, prosper. It has become obvious that not all men (and women) care about the children they create. So women who refuse to tolerate abuse or cheating, etc, have to either succeed themselves, to provide a solid foundation for them and their children, or find a better man.

I hoped it would result in new “wealth” in all regards. It hasn’t. I don’t know where you’re from. But in the USA, moral considerations aside, we have begun to realize what a waste of talent, energy and strength it is to exclude ANYBODY from consideration as a source.

It’s a different world. There are far more options, not just in technology, in daily living. It’s more mobile, for one thing. My mother didn’t learn to drive a car until her late forties.

The times are always changing. Better get used to it.

Depends upon what the male and female want. Some females like a bad boy. And some want A gentleman. A guy can be both. you have to have balance.

@emiliya

No, definitely not. And not just women who weren't at birth 😝
That’s such a broad statement. Which women ? What behaviour? Who tries to be men ?
emiliya · 22-25, F
@TangledUpInBlue You try to be men, man.

Many woman are in their masculine, just like many men are in their feminine.

The roles reversed.

We don't want to be men. But when actual males won't step up and do what men do, we females have to do it.
My pleasure to stall the source of this

That binary duality algorithm figurehead is indeed a problem
Wovon zum Sigma redest du überhaupt?
@emiliya So first of all, how do you know she's only using men for sex? Have her exes complained about her? What has the reaction of her fans been? Can we say she's a good representative for how lots of women think or is she getting backlash?
Secondly, I'm sure there are cases of this happening, but that doesn't mean she thinks it's ok for women, but not for men.
Finally, this doesn't mean she wants to be a man. Using people fore sex is not a male trait.

I think there's still hope for you if you get out of the right-wing propaganda bubble.

@BohemianBabe She has failed relationships. It seems she cannot be with men who have wealth and power. She also adopted a pair of children, one of whom she made become a girl at age three. Hollywood celebrities are freaks.

“I think there's still hope for you if you get out of the right-wing propaganda bubble.”

Danke. Allerdings stehe ich rechts und bin stolz darauf. Wann werde ich meine Parade erhalten?
@emiliya That doesn't mean she's using men for sex. Do you see how you move the goalposts because you don't actually believe in anything?
the problem isnt toxic male masculinity.
the problem is a total lack of toxic male masculinity... 😇
