What are your thoughts on NOT taxing tips and overtime?

@YoMomma I know a waitress at a high end steak house. She makes as much or more annually than my wife as a school teacher 5 yrs experience in our area. How is it fair the waitress's tips (~ 90% of her income) aren't taxed but every penny of the teacher's salary is taxed? It makes zero sense to me.

@BrandNewMan ah i agree.. public school teachers should be exempt from taxes 😏 after all their whole job is paid for by taxes why should we pay taxes with tax money? 🙄 private schools are another matter tho .. why do they even get federal funding?

@YoMomma Swap bus driver or nursing home orderly for teacher. I have the same question.
