A woman yes. a lady is an honour needing to be earnt, a girl ? Depends on what shes doing at the time. If shes playing sport, dancing or being sexy a girl, if shes public speaking, organising people or steering a bus, a woman. I dont know of thats sexist or somehitng else, I'd be interested in hearing your viewpoint, but i think a woman is a girl being adult and responsible and a girl is a woman who is very you or behaving frivolously, a bit like a man and a boy type usage. Just me I guess.

About 40 years ago I was having lunch with my father in a restaurant and he said something about that "girl" over there. I didn't see any girls, just our waitress who was probably in her 50s. I kept saying I didn't see any girls. I finally realized anyone younger than him was a girl.
