How can I move out of where I am when there's long waiting lists everywhere?

I live in an apt bldg in Colorado, when I first moved here I didn't know I'd be near railroad tracks, I've been here 13 and need to move but I cant cause of long waiting lists, thought of going back to where I used to live but they have long waiting lists and I think they're giving the homeless priority which is why I cant get an apt there yet. I've thought of renting a room but no one seems to know anyone I can do that with. I'm tired of the trains keeping me up all night, I'm a light sleeper, last night they woke me up every half hr or an hr, the thing is I have joint issues and even if I take vit d and collagen I tend to have to go to the bathroom when they wake me up and then my knee cracks when I'm getting out of bed, so the more they wake me up the more my joints cracks, if they had let me sleep that wouldn't be happening as much. I even tried putting something on craigslist about renting a room but they took me off Craigslist, not sure why, Facebook don't help either. its not about the money, I have the money to move, its about getting a place, any suggestions? tired of being woken up constantly and then hurting myself as well. don't have any family or friends I can stay with

There are white noise machines you can get from ebay or amazon, one of those placed by the wall or window that the trains are near should help to block the noise of the trains.

If you want to try white noise before buying a machine there are plenty of options on youtube.

@AntisocialTroll I used a fan for white noise and wear earplugs too and take stuff like Benadryl and melatonin to go to sleep
