Oh, I remember that moment. I was so proud to bring my first married paycheck home with my new last name and present it to my husband to deposit in our joint account. He just looked up at me from his desk like I was an idiot and told me to cash it as he shrugged. The joy left my face and the tears and anger replaced it. It was at that moment he realized he had F’d up! We didn’t have a joint account! We had never discussed it but I had unfairly expected him to have it done.
Needless to say, he got it done the next day and I found out the hard way that the love of my life could not read my mind. 😂😂😂
