Has anyone gone to the police if they have been cyber bulled online?

One of my friends was being cyber bullied really bad and threatened by the guy.... It was BAD BAD. the summery is that he wanted to force her to marry him
So we went to the cyber police and they just told her "well marry him 💁🏻‍♂"
