Has anyone gone to the police if they have been cyber bulled online?

I once did. I was threatened by someone from another country. We had been chatting for a long time. But it changed from friendly to nasty and threatening. I found a police department in his country that was specifically for cyber crime. I contacted them. Didn't hear anything apart from a confirmation. But half a year later the police payd him a visit. They didn't actually do anything but it was enough to stop the threaths. And if he does anything else, they know how to find him.
