I am amazed (and not in a good way) how some people can pick and choose which of their promises they want to keep,
and which they break with no concern, yet still call themselves honest, and protective. Do you know anyone like that? Do you believe them anymore when they start a sentence with "I promise..." 🙄

Every person does this. Mostly in a harmless way. Some do it with big things and with people they are deemed to be transparent with. We just notice it when we are invested in their promises.
I take all words with a pinch of salt but I maintain hope.
