“To sue someone you only need two things; a reason and a lawyer, and neither have to be good.”

Share, if you dare, your experience with suing or being sued for the dumbest of reasons.

I was riding a bicycle and a car made a left turn onto the street I was crossing and accelerated right at me. I managed to speed up so that he only hit my rear wheel and not my body. But I fell and shattered my elbow. I ended up needing a long surgery, resulting in two plates and nine screws holding it all together.

I went to a lawyer, who was very straightforward with me. This would not be their highest priority case, but they thought they could recover money for me. I got assigned to one of the younger lawyers, who was excellent at communicating with me every step of the way. I ended up quite happy with the settlement.
Never been involved in a lawsuit. My plan is to keep it that way.

idk about suing but i considered taking my ex bestie to court because of how much money i lost paying her share of rent. and i almost had a legal custody battle over her dog. but she was pregnant and let me keep the dog, so we went our separate ways

I agree in a way, but I had to give it thought when my sister was involved in an accident years ago where she was lucky she was alive and needed a lot of physical rehabilitation and therapy. Her partner tried to sway her to sue, saying you don't know the needs you may need in the future and how much that might cost you, and I really did learn I agreed with him. It was her choice, and chance, let it be she doesn't need but would have been impossible to know then and you only have so much time?

Would I be okay, seeing her suffer from an accident that was never her fault, when she could have looked towards a simple remedy to cover in pain what she could have needed? No, I'm just thankful she has been healthy

People often talk about these things in ideas without seeing why you need to look at them seriously. Then other people mock with making false lawsuits.

Currently looking for one to take on a bank and it's proving hard work.
Have been referred to a forensic accountant to look into financial transactions that the bank can't account for yet come out of my account.

So hopefully that route will at least get something official on the record.

@Picklebobble2 Ironic the place where you put your money for 'safe keeping' can just lose it or take it for some nonsense reason.
Good luck.

I've never experienced either. 😇
