I don't really care about them, although it weirds me out that people congratulate me for staying alive another year. If they find that a noteworthy accomplishment, their expectations of me must be pretty low.

@NerdyPotato Lol, I think that's more of a Dutch thing. It's more common to say "Happy Birthday" in English, rather than "Congratulations on your birthday".

It took me a few years to adjust to that difference... and I know that it's not the only one to get used to, either.
