Dinner Question

You're having dinner, your mom spent a good hour or two making or preparing it, but in your head, you're a little tired of it. You don't necessarily hate it or anything, but it's not the most appealing thing you feel like that night. You finish and eat up most of it, and your mom asks, "Was it good?"

If I say yes, I am wrong for lying, since my real thoughts is that it was boring? Or should I just be content making my mom happy and not being such a greedy beggar?

In my house there's always 2 choices at meal time, take it, or leave it! You were right in eating it! She took the time and effort to make it! You're not going to die! What you say to her afterwards is up to you, you know her better than anyone here does! I'm sure whatever you say will be polite and respectful! Good on you for eating it!

@HayleySwizzle this isn't about take it or leave it, it's about whether your mom wants honest feedback or just affirmation. Hopefully you can just be straight up with her, finish what's on your plate but give her constructive advice on improvements for next time.
